Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Field Sales Representative, you manage a defined geographic territory of active and prospective business shipping accounts — conducting in-person consultations, quarterly business reviews, and competitive displacement conversations that grow UPS package revenue from every account in your portfolio through relationship depth and data-backed solution selling.

• In-Person Account Consultation: Conduct structured face-to-face sales calls at customer and prospect business locations throughout your territory — opening each conversation with a prepared account data review, presenting a specific UPS solution recommendation tailored to the account's shipping profile, and closing each call with a documented next-step commitment recorded in Salesforce before leaving the parking lot.
• Quarterly Business Review Facilitation: Facilitate formal QBR meetings with top-revenue accounts quarterly — presenting account-level performance data (on-time delivery percentage, damage claim rate, cost-per-shipment trend, and volume growth trajectory) and using the data conversation to identify service gaps and incremental upsell opportunities that expand the account's annual UPS spend.
• Competitive Displacement Strategy: Identify accounts currently splitting volume between UPS and a competing carrier — analyzing the competitive portion of their shipping profile using volume data, service comparisons, and pricing analysis — then presenting a displacement proposal that makes consolidating their full volume with UPS the financially obvious decision for the procurement team.
